The most lucrative railway transport of oil products to European consumers were restrained by the capacity of railheads. However, a new player called JSC VILARIS
has recently entered the market. The company offers new opportunities to those whom supply the European market with oil products.
Two means of transport in operation, to transport oil products from Russia to the countries of European Union, sea and railway. Sea transport is inevitable slower and can be more expensive.
The main problem with the railway transport is the difference in railway gauges
between Russia and The European Union. The producers of fuel are restricted by the capacity of railheads.
The main place in this market segment belonged to the oil transhipment point, at Malashevichi railway station in Poland. Until recently, this direction was loaded as the sole significant railhead at the border of Belarus and Poland. There is another route through Baltic, but it can not really compete with the Belarus-Poland direction. In this situation, the sole operator had the opportunity to dictate his own prices.
However, in autumn 2008, the situation changed drastically. A new terminal at the railway station, Bruzgi
, in Grodnenskiy region of Belarus, was launched, and fully upgraded by a new company. A glance at the railway map, Eastern Europe is enough to understand that the new route is by far the shortest one, for the transportation of oil from Russia to Europe.
The operator of the railhead is JSC VILARIS. The terminal specializes in transhipment of diesel
fuel from the railways of the wide gauge (1520 mm) to those of the narrow European one (1435 mm). The capacity of the terminal enables to shipment of 100 thousand tons of diesel fuel in a month or 1-2 million tons of diesel fuel a year.
The railhead has new updates equipment
from the world's highest economized brands available to date. To discharge and load of oil products, as well as for weighting and measuring of a cargo at all the transhipment stages. The measurements are recorded to the corresponding registers automatically. The up-to-date equipment allows minimizing the process loss. The measurements accuracy is ensured by the laboratory METTLER TOLEDO. The full automation of the transhipment process excludes the human factor when measuring and preparing documentation.
For a maximum time saving during the cargo documentation, formalization, the terminal has its own customs supervision zone. The terminal is located 400 meters away from the state border of Poland. This allows to minimize the costs of transhipment and to exclude the possible risks.
It is also of a great importance, that the complex at the railway station Bruzgi conformity with high fire safety standards. Conventional for the transportation in the world. The terminal is served by the well-established fire-fighting system by “ESSER - Novar Germany GmbH”.
Thus, the following advantages of the new oil terminal of JSC VILARIS
- short distance;
- time and costs savings;
- exceptional reliability.
In combination with extremely competitive price offers
, the advantages listed above allow JSC VILARIS to monthly increase the oil transhipment volumes for European consumers. So we can say with confidence that today the oil traders have received the faster, the more reliable and the more lucrative way to the European fuel market.
